Paseo de Gran Canaria is a public ceramic installation by the Cerámica Santa Ana workshop in Spain. Glazed tiles form interlinked panels and patterned bands along the promenade, creating a horizontal mural beneath your feet. The curved path leads between the street, small plazas and seating niches, while the ceramic surfaces catch sunlight and shadow.

Fired clay, coloured glazes and carefully placed joints reveal the island tradition of using azulejos in public spaces. As you walk, reflections shift across the glossy tiles, changing flat colours into highlights and deeper tones. The bands guide your eye and steps, turning an everyday route into a place for close attention.

Look at one tile and notice its cool surface, rounded edge and measured joint. Each changing reflection brings out the work of clay, fire and human hands.
