Kaufmannskirche - Sankt Gregorii stands at the northern end of Anger square in Erfurt’s historic centre, Thuringia, Germany. It is a Lutheran church with Gothic architecture.

Dedicated to Saint Gregory of Utrecht, it served as parish church for the first market settlement and collected taxes for the Archbishop of Mainz. Twin towers define its exterior in Erfurt. After a fire in 1291, builders completed the present Gothic structure by 1368. The church became Lutheran in 1521.

The building contains the Friedemann brothers’ high altar from 1625, a pulpit from 1598, and a baptismal font from 1608. Christian Richter’s paintings share space with historic epitaphs. The church also recalls Johann Sebastian Bach’s parents, who married there in 1668. A wall text commemorates Martin Luther’s sermon of 1522.

Extensive restoration followed 1944 aerial-mine damage and later addressed the altar, pulpit, south tower, and north tower. The church is recorded as wheelchair accessible.
