Herculesramp 15 juli 1996 is a memorial in Eindhoven, marking the crash of a Belgian Hercules C-130 at the air base. The aircraft carried the Royal Netherlands Army Fanfare Corps home from a concert tour in Italy. Thirty-four people died, while seven passengers survived the disaster. Their return journey from Vught ended during landing, leaving a lasting wound in Eindhoven’s history.

Remembrance ceremonies take place at the air base and behind Eindhoven’s city hall, bringing together relatives, survivors, and local officials. Music forms part of the ceremony, including Hans van der Heide’s composition Modena a Tribute. Its title recalls Modena, where the orchestra performed before the crash. Survivor Ron Geurts, a trombonist, has described the day as a dividing line between life before and after the disaster.
