Schloss Eller is a manor house in Düsseldorf, built in 1826 on the site of a medieval moated castle. The estate was once known as Haus Eller. Its recorded history reaches back to the Middle Ages, with Burg Eller first mentioned in 1309. A medieval tower remains within the classicist design. Baron Carl von Plessen began transforming the former castle site into the present manor house after acquiring it in 1823. Schloss Eller stands within an English landscape park. The surrounding park contains plane trees, beeches, sequoias, a pond, and a bird sanctuary pond fed by Eselsbach. Princess Luise of Prussia later made the estate her home. Friedrich Vohwinkel and Hermann von Krüger added buildings and expanded the grounds during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Modern residential areas now surround Schloss Eller, while its historic architecture remains visible. Schloss Eller is recorded as wheelchair accessible. The site brings together a classicist manor, a medieval tower, and parkland shaped by water.
