Haus Weber stands in Düsseldorf-Kalkum as a residential building within a settlement beside the historic village centre. Built in 1951, the single-storey house was designed by architects Helmut Hentrich and Hans Heuser with landscape architect Roland Weber. Whitewashed masonry and a gabled roof give the building the traditional regional character associated with the Heimatschutzstil.

Large windows along the garden side bring daylight deep into the living spaces. An unglazed garden room opens directly towards a rectangular water basin, connecting the house with its surrounding garden. This arrangement reflects post-war interest in bringing domestic life closer to nature.

The building combines forms popular during the 1930s with construction from the early 1950s. Its protected-monument status preserves a carefully composed example of Düsseldorf’s residential architecture. The clearest detail is the garden-facing water basin, which extends the house’s living space into the open air.
