Gehry Bauten forms a trio of office buildings in Düsseldorf’s Media Harbour, within the Neuer Zollhof complex. Frank Gehry designed the buildings, completed in 1999, as the waterfront developed into the area known today as Media Harbour.

Crooked façades shift by up to 1.7 metres on every storey, creating changing angles that draw conversation and photography. One building carries a terracotta-coloured brick façade, anchored to reinforced concrete by a custom support system that accommodates construction tolerances. Their presence helped attract commissions for other prominent architects across the harbour, and the buildings even appear in Germany’s Monopoly edition.
