St. Peter in Dinkelsbühl, Bavaria, is an early-thirteenth-century Romanesque hall church within Germany’s preserved medieval townscape. Its gabled roof and polygonal choir establish the building’s original profile. A southern portal porch meets the nave, while a northern choir-flank tower rises beside the choir. The tower carries an octagonal upper section, a clock, and a pointed spire.

The nave, portal extension, and lower tower floors preserve parts of a Romanesque fortified church. Buttresses support the choir, added during the second quarter of the fourteenth century and decorated with frescoes. Early eighteenth-century alterations raised the tower by two storeys, adding biforia, a clock, and a belfry for three bells. An eight-sided pointed helmet completes the tower’s silhouette.

Inside, the choir has a ribbed vault, while galleries line the nave beneath its coffered ceiling. A neo-baroque altar stands with a crucifixion group dating from between 1500 and 1600.
