St. Paul stands in Dinkelsbühl as an Evangelical Lutheran parish church, built in 1843 for the Protestant community. Andreas Schulz designed the cross-shaped hall building in a historicizing style.

A hipped roof covers the structure, while a central façade tower rises above the entrance with a spire. The church replaced a Carmelite church that had been secularised and sold to the Protestant community in 1812. The older building was demolished in 1839, and the new church opened after completion in summer 1843. Its architecture and furnishings remain protected as a historical monument.

Inside, a blessing Christ sculpture welcomes you in the entrance hall, created by Bernhard Afinger and executed by Leopold Kießling. The altar cross shows Christ as ruler of the world, while a Good Samaritan painting hangs beside the choir niche. Corinthian columns support the gallery, where the 1995 organ stands above the entrance.
