Gymnasium Dinkelsbühl stands in Dinkelsbühl, Bavaria, as a secondary school with scientific-technological and linguistic branches. Its history reaches back to the early sixteenth century.

Latin teaching began there, and the institution later served Protestant and Catholic students as a Latin school. Several educational reforms reshaped the school over time. By 1877, it had become a secondary school, while later developments added a humanistic gymnasium. That humanistic gymnasium operated there until 1972.

Bernhard Heid designed the present main building, constructed from 1968 to 1970 in Brutalist style. The building became a listed historic monument in 2003. Gardens, a biotope and an open-air theatre joined the campus during the 1988 state garden show. Later campus expansions added a cafeteria facility. Renovations from 2007 to 2011 preserved the building’s exterior appearance while updating the school facilities.

The school site is wheelchair accessible for visitors. The scientific-technological branch combines compulsory English with a choice between Latin and French. The linguistic branch teaches English, Latin and French. Upper-grade students choose between art and music, while international partnerships reach France and Finland. The school participated in Erasmus+ between 2018 and 2020. Former students include journalist Karl Corino and jazz musician Philipp Schiepek.
