Villa Olmo is a neoclassical villa in Como, designed by Swiss architect Simone Cantoni for Marquis Innocenzo Odescalchi. Its name recalls an elm tree once standing in the gardens.

Its construction began in the late eighteenth century and reached completion in the early nineteenth century. Como’s municipality owns Villa Olmo and uses it for cultural events and exhibitions. Its central building contains paintings, statues, elaborate frescoes and a theatre known for its acoustics.

A neoclassical temple stands in the English garden behind the villa. An Italian-style garden surrounds the house with manicured flower beds and a prominent fountain. Greenhouses, tennis courts, a lido and an international hostel form part of the wider grounds.

The villa occupies Como’s north-western lakeside edge, where a promenade links historic patrician residences. The lakeside park and greenhouse have undergone restoration for their historical and botanical value. The promenade leads towards Cernobbio and Villa d’Este beside the lake. The former summer retreat provides a setting for culture beside Lake Como.
