Sankt Joseph stands in Cologne’s Braunsfeld district as a Roman Catholic parish church dedicated to Saint Joseph of Nazareth. Its rectangular concrete frame carries a distinctive sawtooth roof and hexagonal window panels. Y-shaped supports divide the gables, while a separate northeast campanile rises about twenty-five metres beside the entrance hall. Four concrete columns and five discs hold its four bells.

Rudolf Schwarz and Joseph Bernard designed the postwar church, built between 1952 and 1954 after the earlier church was destroyed in 1944. Three bells date from 1954, while another comes from 1934. Georg Meistermann’s colourful windows arrived in the late 1960s, reversing the original light-blue and white interior scheme. A 2001 renovation preserved that 1968 arrangement.

Inside, an open nave leads towards a raised altar, with steps descending beside it into a war memorial crypt. The organ has twenty-three stops and free-standing pipes. Look for the old tabernacle doors, now securing the sacristy safe, alongside a 1935 baptismal-font cover.
