À Lord Brougham is a limestone and cut stone statue in central Cannes that commemorates Henry Brougham, 1st Baron Brougham and Vaux. Sculptor Paul Liénard created the monument’s standing figure. The limestone and cut stone figure holds a rose in its left hand while leaning against a palm tree. Mason Claude Laurent made the stone pedestal for the statue. A poem by Stephen Liégeard appears on the pedestal’s front, adding written detail to the sculpted memorial. The fountain and basin belong to a later phase. The semi-circular basin and surrounding reflecting pool replaced an earlier stone-edged planter beside the statue. Sculptor André Louis Trivero recreated the destroyed statue. Lord Brougham’s connection with Cannes gives the monument a place in the city’s cultural and public heritage. It appears in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur heritage inventory.
