Nikolaikirche Oslebshausen stands in Bremen’s Gröpelingen district, beside a school on Oslebshauser Heerstraße. Walter Görig designed the church in 1930.

The evangelical building was constructed as Oslebshausen grew during the twentieth century. Its single nave uses a brick structure. A gabled roof covers the church, with an inset choir completing its form.

A five-storey tower rises at the centre and carries a square, pointed spire. The architecture combines abstract Gothic Expressionism with conservative modernity. A memorial stone for Dietrich Bonhoeffer stands behind the church.

The church’s bell dates from 1929, while an empty yoke recalls its larger wartime counterpart. Bremen’s monument preservation authority placed the church under protection in 1995.

A two-storey community centre with a flat roof replaced the former parish hall and arcade in 1976. The adjacent cemetery includes a section for children who die before, during, or shortly after birth.

The site is wheelchair accessible and includes a kindergarten beside the church and cemetery. The community also supports Chorios and Gosem. Chorios is a women’s choir, while Gosem is an ecumenical choir associated with the merged congregation.
