Stadtkirche St. Peter und Paul stands in Blaubeuren’s old town, within Baden-Württemberg’s Alb-Donau district. The church serves an Evangelical parish and carries official historic monument protection. Built at the beginning of the fifteenth century, it presents a spacious hall church with an open nave. Its choir dates from around 1459 and closes on three sides behind visible buttresses.

A square-based tower rises beside the choir’s north wall, with octagonal upper floors added in 1495. Its distinctive Welsche Haube dates from the second half of the sixteenth century. Inside, a net vault rests on stone consoles above paintings of the Schutzmantelmadonna, the Crucifixion and Saint Martin. Bartholomäus Sixt Kummer created paintings on the gallery, adding another period to the interior’s artistic record.

The 1966 organ has thirty stops, two manuals and a pedal for worship and concerts. Restoration work protected seven choir windows with safety glazing after weakened stone tracery began shedding pieces. Wheelchair accessibility is recorded for the building. The church remains a setting for services, concerts and community events, including performances by Blaubeuren’s Joachim-Hahn-Gymnasium.
