Wat Suthat Thepwararam Ratchaworamahawihan is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand, and a royal temple of the first grade. High ceilings, sweeping roofs and vibrant murals shape the view across the complex in Bangkok. The Giant Swing, a Hindu structure, stands prominently at its entrance.

Construction began in 1807 under King Rama I and continued through the reigns of Rama II and Rama III. An earlier name for the complex was Wat Maha Sutthawat. The builders established it in a combretum grove, giving the site a specific setting from its beginnings. Phra Sri Sakyamuni Buddha arrived from Sukhothai Province.

Twenty-eight Chinese pagodas line the lower terrace, representing the twenty-eight Buddhas born on earth. The ubosot, or ordination hall, houses Phra Buddha Trilokachet. The meeting hall, or sala kan parian, holds Phra Buddha Setthamuni. Murals in the ordination hall depict preta, undead figures from Buddhist and Siamese belief. Those painted scenes also portray episodes from life.
