Kunstmühlefels is a geological feature above Bad Urach in the Swabian Jura. It occupies a mountain nose shaped by the narrow Mohrenteich side valley. Mohrenteich leads towards the Ermstal. From this rocky viewpoint, you can see the Mohrenteich, Schorrenfels and Nottental. Rock formations stand above the Hanner Steige.

The surrounding landscape forms part of a UNESCO biosphere reserve, where forests, valleys and exposed rock create a varied setting. Many of these formations are nature monuments. Trails through the forest and along the Albtrauf lead towards Kunstmühlefels. The Hochbergsteig is one of those routes. The Grafensteige network includes paths for gentle walks and more demanding outings. Sure-footed hikers can follow the rocky terrain. Flora and fauna accompany the trails around Kunstmühlefels. The panorama links the Mohrenteich valley with Schorrenfels and the Nottental rock formations. Winter conditions can make the paths slippery and challenging. Spring, summer and autumn reveal the surrounding landscape along the wooded trails.
