Sankt Anna is a medieval Evangelical Lutheran parish church in central Augsburg, where Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements meet. The Carmelite order began the church in 1321, and parts of the original Gothic architecture remain beside the former monastery buildings.

The Goldsmiths’ Chapel contains fifteenth-century frescoes showing the Passion cycle and the Last Judgement, restored in the nineteenth century. The Fugger Chapel, consecrated in 1518, combines a marble floor, stained glass, choir stalls and a Lamentation of Christ, making it an early Renaissance landmark in Germany. Martin Luther stayed here in 1518, while the Lutherstiege museum now occupies the rooms associated with his Augsburg visit. Baroque and Rococo stuccowork covers the ceiling, and Elias Holl added the spire in 1607.

Around the church, the cloister preserves memorial stones and grave slabs, while the former cemetery of Lutherhof now holds benches and a fountain.
