The Riegele BierFlug brings climbing, a zipline and brewing tradition together at the Riegele brewery in Augsburg. The route begins with safety training and a personal locker.

Participants climb the outside of a historic brick chimney on ladders, secured by harnesses and guided by trained staff. The historic chimney reaches 51 metres above Augsburg. At the Bierhimmel viewing platform, the route offers a full panorama, with the Alps visible on clear days. Cameras along the route record photographs of the climb.

From the summit, riders descend to a flying fox measuring 68 metres across the brewery courtyard towards a maypole. The ride reaches about 22 kilometres per hour. After landing, participants cross a wobbly barrel bridge and make a free fall from four metres into the Riegele beer garden.

A trained BierFlug crew supervises every stage. The experience takes about two to two and a half hours and includes equipment, safety instruction and a beer voucher. Visitors must meet age, height, weight, clothing and footwear requirements before using the attraction. The attraction forms part of Riegele Brauwelt, the brewery’s experience world, alongside Augsburg’s brewing tradition. The Riegele brewery remains family-run in Augsburg.
