Molen van Sloten is an octagonal, thatched oak tower windmill beside the Ringvaart canal in Sloten, Amsterdam. Its stone base supports a working polder mill. Together with Akergemaal, the mill demonstrates water management around Amsterdam’s Western Garden Cities. Built in 1991, the present structure combines an older mill body with newly made cap and sails.

Together, the machinery, exhibitions, and village setting connect Dutch water management with local cultural history. The canal marks the mill’s place within the polder landscape.
