De Hallen is a cultural centre in Amsterdam-West, occupying a restored tram depot built between 1902 and 1905. Brick heritage meets modern design throughout the complex. Trams arrived here for maintenance and storage until the depot closed in 1996. Today, the Passage links a cinema, library, gallery, food hall, shops, hotel, and creative studios.

Redevelopment began after the Amsterdam Public Transport Museum left in 2005, and renovation started in 2013. The transformation was complete in February 2015. FilmHallen includes the interior of the former Cinema Parisien, once located on Nieuwendijk. FoodHallen gathers cuisines beneath the old roof, while Kanarie Club and Remise Forty-Seven add restaurants. Belcampo combines coffee and books inside the Amsterdam Public Library branch. Exhibitions, workshops, markets, screenings, and broadcasts fill the spaces with local creative work. The renovation received the Pieter van Vollenhoven prize. Wheelchair access makes this meeting place easier to explore.
